Wildfire Prevention Campaign Concept
Campaign Concept & Collateral Design
“Keep it Small. Keep it Safe.” is a conceptual fire safety campaign designed for Oregon’s forests and the families who explore them. I imagined it as a joint effort between the Department of Forestry and Oregon State Parks, built to educate campers in a way that feels approachable and easy to remember. The colors were drawn from official ODF materials, and the vintage-inspired typography adds a familiar, grounded tone. Every element was designed to feel at home in the wild—clear, useful, and visually lasting.

This campaign needed to feel direct and impossible to ignore—clear guidance without any extra fluff. I leaned into oversized, playful typography and short, straightforward messaging to make sure the tips were easy to understand at a glance. The design doesn’t rely on fear or fine print—it just tells you what to do, and makes it hard to forget.

With wildfires continuing to devastate the West Coast, this campaign needed to do more than inform—it needed to stick. The additional pieces like shirts, stickers, and signage were designed to help spread the message far beyond a single poster. If a bold graphic on a T-shirt or trail sign can start a conversation or generate funding, maybe it can also support things like fire safety education, prevention programs, or even future controlled burns. Every piece is meant to be both practical and purposeful.
